Open discussion on the FCP, improving, research on, theory and modeling of MF/LF antennas and related subjects may be had on the Antennaware reflector at contesting[dot]com. To eliminate spam, you must first subscribe to the reflector.
If you are considering the digest delivery format, be warned in advance that longish technical postings are permitted (blather of all lengths is discouraged). Individual emails filtered by your mail reader to a folder may be a better method not requiring changing the subject line and trimming off other posts in the digest.
At times the list may be moderated and there will be a delay between posting and display on the reflector. If the Mailman email system has rejected your posting, you will receive an immediate automated response from Mailman indicating the problem. A moderator's explanatory response may be delayed.
The advertised content for Antennware is "MF/LF Antennas, Antenna Modeling, Design, Research". So content completely unrelated to FCP, etc, is probable.
Those wishing off-reflector or private discussion should email peerreview[at]k2av[dot]com. This will only be seen and replied to by K2AV or members of the committee who are helping with mail.
Material from correspondents' email can be very helpful to the the web site readership, and we may wish to publish it. To protect our correspondents from harrassing email, we will always ask your permission to use material from peerreview email. We will send you the material, possibly edited for brevity or clarity, exactly as we intend to use it. If you allow it, you have your choice of anonymous or with your call sign. A discussion of such text with you, with possible revisions, will always be welcome.
Your "no" to publication is final, period.
General conclusions from preponderance of correspondence may be published without permission on this web site, but will never include reference to specific individuals or situations without permission.
Direct email may be subject to considerable delay, due to illness, travel, projects, etc. The generosity of the committee members in responding at peerreview[at]k2av[dot]com is there to avoid delay or impossibility of reply.
If you and K2AV have agreed to contact via a telephone call, this is a reminder of the procedure you were given to set up the call and the explanation why the procedure is needed.
The procedure is necessary because of the amazing number of junk phone calls received by K2AV. Some days had over thirty junk calls. An iPhone has a setting to allow only callers on its contact list to ring through and be displayed in notifications. This is the only scheme that has worked to eliminate the junk calls that would otherwise render the phone useless for incoming calls.
So we need to get a K2AV telephone correspondent listed on K2AV's contact list. To allow a correspondent to not put their phone number in email and keep it private, the instruction was to text their call sign to the cellphone number K2AV gave them in email. K2AV would then add the texting phone number and call sign to his contacts list. K2AV texts back to arrange time and date and phone calls come through.
And of course K2AV correspondents' phone numbers will NEVER be given out.
